Evoluent VerticalMouse 3 has been designed to avoid the forearm twisting associated with standard mouse use. The patented shape supports your hand in an upright neutral posture that offers greater comfort and is better for your health and productivity. The mouse shape is thoughtfully sculpted for uncompromised comfort and efficient usability. The buttons are all located within easy reach ensuring no awkward and strenuous movements are needed to operate the mouse. The thumb rest has been reshaped to provide enhanced comfort over prior versions and an extra wide lip runs along the bottom edge of the mouse to prevent your last finger from rubbing on the desk.
When using the mouse and clicking with normal force your thumb naturally opposes the fingers. This prevents the mouse from tracking sideways, helps to avoid strain and ensures accuracy. Precision is further enhanced by the Avago 3080 gaming grade infra-red sensor which tracks more accurately on more surfaces than most laser sensors.
The mouse provides a great deal of functionality with five programmable buttons and a scroll wheel. By default, the top button is for the left click, and with the scroll-wheel you can scroll and zoom in common computer programs. The middle button is for the right click, the third button at the bottom is for going back and the thumb button is for going forward.
There is free Evoluent Mouse Manager software available for the mouse, allowing you to gain maximum benefit from using the mouse. You can program the buttons of your mouse to suit the varying tasks you perform. Buttons which are perfectly tuned to your needs, are guaranteed to make your mouse work more efficiently.
With the Evoluent 3, you can adjust the pointer speed to suit the different tasks you perform. Select a higher DPI to make the pointer move faster for general use and select a lower DPI to make the pointer move slower and more precisely for tasks like drawing and photo editing. The pointer speed button can be found on the underside of the mouse and you can choose from the four different DPI values which are 800, 1300, 1800 and 2600. An led light indicates which DPI is currently set.
You can start working with your Evoluent 3 mouse immediately, thanks to the plug-and-play functionality. There is no need for manual configuration. Just plug the USB cable in one of the USB ports of your computer, laptop or mobile device. The mouse is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
