Evoluent VerticalMouse 4 Bluetooth has been designed to avoid the forearm twisting associated with standard mouse use. The patented, ergonomic shape of the mouse is based on years of research of former Evoluent mouse models.
The mouse shape positions your hand in the vertical position, rather than the flat way you would use a standard mouse. This neutral posture offers greater comfort, avoiding fatigue and strain which is better for your health and productivity. Using a mouse in this position engages the stronger muscles of your upper arm, shoulder and back muscles which is good because these muscles are stronger, meaning less fatigue and greater productivity.
The mouse shape is thoughtfully sculpted for uncompromised comfort and efficient usability. The buttons are all located within easy reach ensuring no awkward and strenuous movements are needed for operation. The thumb rest has been reshaped to provide enhanced comfort over prior versions and an extra wide lip runs along the bottom edge of the mouse to prevent your last finger from rubbing on the desk.
That mouse provides a great deal of functionality with six programmable buttons and a DPI-button to adjust the pointer speed. The easy-to-reach button site behind the scroll-wheel enables quickly changing the pointer speed to suit different tasks. Select a high DPI value for quickly moving across the screen for general tasks. Choose a low DPI value for precision work such as photo editing or drawing. In total, there are four different DPI-values available which are 800, 1300, 1800 and 2600. The current DPI setting is conveniently indicated via one of four lights.
There is free Evoluent Mouse Manager software available for the mouse, allowing you to gain maximum benefit from using the mouse. You can program the buttons of your mouse to suit the varying tasks you perform. Buttons which are perfectly tuned to your needs, are guaranteed to make your mouse work more efficiently.
The lighted Evoluent logo on the vertical mouse is not just a nice eye-catcher. It is also an indicator for if the mouse is in sleep mode or not. The illumination turns off when the system is in sleep mode to conserve laptop battery power. A well-thought-out function, which can be very helpful, when you need to save the battery power of your laptop.
The mouse has been developed for Mac OS compatibility and provides the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity.
