Oculamp Desk Lamp Product Details
Oculamp Desk Lamp has been designed to minimise blue light and will help to improve sleep, beat eye strain, headaches, dry eyes and poor eyesight. The lamp is available in a choice of two colours and the sleek, modern aesthetics ensures it will look great on your desk or bedside table.
The lamp has three colour settings that allow you to keep your body clock in sync at different times of the day. These are as follows:
- Cool white [5400k]. This is super bright for when you want your space at its brightest
- Neutral white [4200k]. This is calm white and is kinder on your eyes and better for long periods of work
- Warm white [3100k]. This is night mode and will help you wind down during the evening
The lamp is portable and lasts for 3-30 hours on one charge. Thanks to the flexible base, angle adjustments are easy and there are three light settings available to suit your needs. Charging is done via Micro-USB and a cable is included in the box and a full charge will take between 2-3 hours.

Blue light is found in all light sources, from the sun through to light bulbs and the screens of our mobile devices and computers. An elevated presence of blue light is not good for your health and wellbeing as it can cause eye strain, headaches and affect the quality of your sleep. It tricks your body clock by suppressing melatonin which is the hormone that makes you feel drowsy and helps you go to sleep.
Using a screen, be that a computer, mobile device or television can cause eye strain and this may lead to headaches. But the prominence of blue light is not the only issue as we tend to blink far less when using a screen and this can dry our eyes out.
All of this can be managed by regulating our use of screens and installing some preventative measures such as screen filters, lighting with lower blue light levels and filtered glasses.
